We have blue, green, brown, black, hazel and grey. How come only these colors happen? Why not orange or red or purple?

Eye color or eye colour is a polygenic trait and is determined by the amount and type of pigments, primarily melanin, present in the eye's iris. Although there seem to be three genotypic eye colors (brown, green, and blue), humans and other animals have many phenotypic variations in eye color. In humans, these variations in color are attributed to varying ratios of eumelanin and pheomelanin produced by melanocytes in the iris.

Three main elements within the iris contribute to its color: the melanin content of the iris pigment epithelium, the melanin content within the iris stroma, and the cellular density of the iris stroma. In eyes of all colors, the iris pigment epithelium contains the black pigment, eumelanin. Color variations among different irises are typically attributed to the melanin content within the iris stroma. The density of cells within the stroma affects how much light is absorbed by the underlying pigment epithelium.

Actually, violet eyes are rare, but the do exist (Liz Taylor has violet eyes). Eyes come in only a certain amount of colors because the number of genes involved in making pigment for the eyes is finite. If it were ever to become fashionable to tinker with genes, we could change these genes so that we could make different colors. For now, we are stuck with these.

Well, that's the way God made it so he must know. He also made skin in various shades of brown from pale white to deep
black. Why is it our hair on our head grows and grows but the
hair elsewhere on our body stops at a certain point, yet if you
cut it off like when I had hernia operation, it grows back but the
same length as before.?

there are MANY colors in the eye, have you ever truly looked? i have specks of orange, blue, and red, but when you mix all the colors together it turns an overall sh!t like color, like brown or green. Blue eyes have an array of grey silver, green, and such light specks.

Elizabeth Taylor has purple eyes... But I imagine with genetic engineering, you can make any color imaginable...
