1. put in the stopper and add a cup of bleach with about 4x that amount of water. Let the solution sit for several minutes and it should remove stains.
2. If the stains are rust use "WHINK" rust remover read the directions before using.
3.Peroxide straight from the bottle and let it sit for several minutes use each solution seperately.

My new favorite cleaner is called Bar Keepers Friend. It comes in a can similar to Ajax or Comet.
My realtor recommended it when we put our house on the market. It cleans everything...sinks, walls, floors, bathtubs, etc.

Try, SNAP Cream Scouring Cleanser, from Market America it should work fine.
