On E-bay or at a garage sale. I'm told some actors have put there out at those places!

Someone at a studio or closely associated with a given Oscar picture can order one from the Academy, this is done all the time so that everyone in, say, the sound department can have one at home that says the picture won for Best Sound.

They are sent un-engraved unless you pay to have them engraved.

Gold and Platinum records are also distrubted this way. Martha Davis of the Motels ordered up on to give to Madame Wong, who's club used to help her out in the early begings.

Hollywood is a political who you know society. A lot of the Oscars given out are the result of political manuvering, in other words, one hand washing the other. So your best bet if you don't have any family in show biz to get Oscars is to got the supermarket and look in the hot dog department.

Do you mean the statuettes or actually receiving them on stage during the Hollywood awards night? In the first case, try googling--there may be some on auction. In the second case, try acting! Maybe you will get lucky some day..but remember it's essentially a popularity contest. Like, Brokeback Mountain did not get the best actor award even though the actor deserved it.

You either earn one or buy one. Occasionally they are auctioned off by collectors or a has-been who needs the loot.

However, the Academy expressly forbids the sale of Oscars. I am not sure how they enforce that though.
