Haven't seen the movie but the book was great. If I recall correctly, the character is a bit of a bum that sits around watching TV a lot. The phrase indicates that he has never really held down a job, he has only worked a day or so before getting fired and going back to doing nothing.

Are you serious?

Odd in this context means unusual.

It means he has worked a small amount. But I don't think the character was being truthful when he said this.

It means that he hasn't had a lot of job experience (in the movie he actually hasn't worked a day in his life.) But he "supossedly" has done a couple of things that he calls work...

I have no idea but it sounds like he's saying he's worked a day two in his time as odd as it is. Like it's odd but he's worked a few days at some point?

It means that he's been hired before and maybe even worked a little but he never had anything he stuck to at all.
