My mom has a 97-98 ford taurus and she is not good at machanics. Supposedly, her signal and brake lights don't work on the right side. I don't now how to fix it because nobody has ever taught me. What should I do, how should I figure out the problem, and if I have to cahnge the light, how do I do it? I don't know whether the lights or out or the connection is severed or something. Please help me. Thank you.

First of all try changing the bulb. More than likely you can gain access to the bulb through the trunk. Raise the trunk lid and look on the side that is out. Pull the carpet back. They may be access holes where you can twist the bulbs out there, you may have to take little wing nuts off and take the whole lens out and then change the bulb. If you can't figure it out, Run down to a parts store, they will show you how or maybe even do it for you.

if its just the rear lights check the bulb and wiring. if its both front and rear most likely its in the turn signal switch. i forget just how the rear bulbs are gotten to but its either through the trunk or by removing the whole light by the mounting screws.
