Honestly, I would strongly suggest upgrading to IE7
The features and security on the new internet explorer are mirrors of firefox. The updated explorer has alot more features and should really be a benefit. For example, the new tab feature, which like firefox, lets you look a multiple web pages within the same window, you just navigate between them. This allows a user to not have a million IE windows open at the same time. I would suggest to upgrade. If you really don't want to upgrade I'm not sure if there is anything you can do to remove the 'add' because it's a Microsoft product and they are advertising through their product. Best Wishes :-)

Microsoft sees your computer as a profit center for them and nothing more. If you're going to use their software then you should exect things like this, and not just from them either. They set the tone, and other developers follow. That's why Windows has so much spyware and viruses (in addition to it being very insecure), every developer sees your PC as an advertising platform.

Whether or not you manage to get rid of this ad, there will be others. If you want to avoid them all, you need to switch platforms. Either get technical and run Linux, or get a Mac. Neither system is designed to put your interests below the developers the way Windows is, and Macs are easier to use and maintain.
