Check your history ,when President Clinton took office we were in the red by some 2 or 3 billion dollars.
He and Congress got us out of the red including smart
republicans. And did it in 6 years.Study the government facts, both parties ,worked together to get us in the black and did it in his first term..

1. We still had the debt, but for a brief, 9-month stint, the *deficit* was erased.
2. However, the overall deficit spending rate for the Clinton years was 2.1% of GDP, compared with only 1.9% for Bush, so even the deficit arguments need to be reviewed in light of current facts.

Especially since it was reagan policies years ealier that resulted in CLinton economic good times.
People forget that Reagans policies were intended for 10-15 years later...and that most economic changes take years to be effective.

You are absolutely right. The national debt was still ridiculously high. At least now the Dow is at an all time high.

Laugh it up.
p.s. Bin Laden is not in Iraq; if he were, and if he had a teenage son, Im sure that Foley & co. would be "on the case". I "feel" so much "safer" now.

They would have to be able to actually DO math, rather than just poll people about their "feelings..."
