Any antique dealer would be familiar with what you've got. Don't settle on the first or even second offer, because they're going to try to buy it very low, then sell it very high.

Also....I've had good luck with ebay selling such things. You'll need some really good, clear pictures and a good description. Get some estimates of it's worth, then set a reserve price that is high enough to cover that value.....you may be surprised what it will go for.

Suggest you research prices of similar items on ebay, auction room sites etc, then think about auctioning it with a sensible reserve, locally. Visit the auction rooms first to see which one you feel most comfortable with, and what their trading terms are before making your choice.

I would research item see what its worth...then try e-bay...look around on site see what that sort of thing is going for...you could set a basic price if you dont get it dont sell , but with the bidding you could possibly get more wouldnt that be great!
