I'm having a problem wearing MAC's Studio Fix Powder/Foundation http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15107&PRODUCT_ID=PROD1379
and Studio Finish Concealer http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/products/sp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY15106&PRODUCT_ID=PROD1443

I use the concealer on the blemish scars on my cheeks. They aren't very big so I just "spot conceal" Then I use the powder. My face looks flawless in the morning. But around lunch, time it's noticeable where I've applied the concealer on my cheeks. Meaning you can see little concealer spots through the powder. And if I reapply powder it only makes it worse. It turns the concealer dry and flaky on my skin. I've tried to "blend" the concealer over a larger area on my skin instead of concentrating on just the blemishes, but that doesn't seem to cover the blemishes so good.

MAC users, do you have any suggestions?

I used MAC Studio Fix foundation and concealer. All I can tell you is that your skin is not agreeing with the makeup. The same thing happened to me too. Mac Studio Fix is supposed to stay in place for the whole day, but my skin is very oily and the foundation melted on my skin. The concealer on the other hand, has a better staying effect and it causes dryness. That said, change your makeup. FYI, I am using Eveyrday Minerals, Intensive, now and I do not use any concealer. The coverage is incredible and yet very sheer and natural looking. Try everydayminerals.com and look into their Intensive formula.

Hi,

I am an avid MAC user for the last 14 years. I had the same problem and realized that as the day wears on your skin starts to dry out. If you use a good oil-free moisturizer before applying the concealer and powder it should last longer without cracking. If this doesn't work, when you touch up your make-up in the middle of the day, clear the area (the area that looks "cracked" not your whole face) with a moist wipe and just reapply moisturizer, concealer, powder.

I really hope this helps. You can always talk to MAC person at the counter the next time you shop!

it sounds like you have dry skin or at least combination skin, so as the day goes on your skin absorbs what ever moisture it can get from your makeup. MAC is great but most of their products are kind of dry. So here is my suggestions. After you clean your face and use a mild astringent use a nice facial lotion with Alpha Hydroxy, it will help prevent breakouts and avoid clogged pores. It doesn't have to be MAC. I've found some great Alpha Hydroxy lotion right in WalMart.

Using a lotion before you apply makeup will make your makeup look more natural and last longer without drying out. Also make sure you use the least amount of concealer you can so it is less obvious.

I noticed the same..after I put on my concealer in the morning I run hot water over a wash cloth I squeeze it out and put the towel on my face. It helps to blend the concealer. Then I put the foundation on. It still rubs off a liitle by lunch, but i don't have that problem of seeing the concealor I just add a little more powder and its alfight. Hope this helps you

HI ,the best makeup to use to hide spots or blemishes is Elizabeth Arden flawless finish concealer anti-cernes,fro the darker spots and the Elizabeth Arden flawless finish sponge on cream makeup, and then the flawless finish dual perfection makeup, this makeup is expensive but the results are great and they last me about 6 month so just use it sparely, and if you cant afford all of it just try to get the flawless finish concealer and that should help allot,
good luck

Cover your blemishes first and let those areas dry. Then cover your entire face with foundation and then powder. It will give you a flawless finish and cover those spots like they didn't exist.

Good luck!
