Islam is the last religion sent to the whole world by God (Allah). It integrates with judism and christianity and completes them. Moslems believe in Jesus and moses as prohpets. If you read the Quraán, you will definitely realize that it touches your heart just because it is Allah's words to people. Quraán is the only holy book that no change to even ONE letter ever happened since it was inspired to prophet Mohammed 1427 years ago. Quraán is still one of the miracles of Islam in the modern world side by side with Zamzam well, in Makkah; the well that still stands to water millions of people (pilgrims) every year to perform hajj (pilgrimage).Islam is the religion of peace, and love amongst humanity. It should NOT be looked at through a group of extreemists that only represent themselves and nobody else. Please, look take some honest time with yourself before you answer the question, and read first about Islam before you wonder why I ask that question! I only seek paradise for everyone.

Why would anyone be opposed to the beauty and serenity of the Quran. I don't know.

Lets say (for one brief moment) that you are 100% right and that you are part of the greatest religion on earth. Here is the reason why you will never get others to even listen for a second:

Since so many law abiding Muslims do not clearly and loudly condemn the violence of Islamic extremism, then how is the non Muslim world supposed to believe that you don't approve of the violence?

Even in your words above, you only mention extremists one time and without condemnation. I think that in order to educate others about your relgion, you must first place yourself apart as an educator and make it clear that books rather than bombs are the means to that education.

It has been reported that the average Muslim in the Middle East has an education equivalent to our USA 4th grade or lower. That gives the religious leaders power to influence these ignorant people about anything. I refuse to give any organized religion any power over me though I am spiritual in my nature. I believe in love and tolerance towards our fellow human beings. I also feel people should have religious freedom. Any religion that finds non believers as a threat is suspiciously dangerous and evil. If there is a God he is probably disgusted with the whole religious scenario. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The terrorists aside, (I think it is fair to exclude them)

What other religion declares the death sentence on those who convert to another religion?
Shariah Law (spelling?)

What other religion considers it fair to stone to death a wife on accusation of adultery, where for an accusation against the husband to be upheld only if 4 witnesses are found?

What other religion allows rich men to marry 4 wives, and promises the remaining young men 72 virgin wives in heaven if they kill themselves?

You're kidding, right? What prevents people? You haven't seen or have disregarded the actions of Islamic people around the world?
Beheadings of Sunnis by Shiites, beheadings of Shiites by Sunnis, grabbing people off the street for ransom, for working as police, for working with Americans as cooks or something, and killing them after torturing them? You haven't seen how Islamic people have snatched Christian children in Iraq and killed them by crucifixion because the Pope is supposed to have said Islam is violent? You haven't seen the vicious and violent hatred of Jews, the contstant calling the West the Great Satan?

You ask us to "look past" the "extremists." Why do we constantly have to "look past" and "overlook" and "set aside" one ghastly outrage after another? And if so much of Islam is peace and love, and so many Islamic people are so wonderful, where are they in all this violence against each other and everyone who is not Islamic?

But let's set aside the overt violence. How about shariah, where rape is the woman's fault, divorce is easy for men, impossible for women, how about the "woman bags" women have to wear, what about cutting off people's hands for theft, stoning to death for adultery, and other unfair and cruel "laws?" How about the banning of religions other than Islam and death to him who practices one? On and on and on.

You haven't seen the throngs of peaceful, loving Muslims who support Islamic organizations that send bombers into streets, who support fatwahs against writers who speak their minds, and on and on?

Oh, other religions have done such things? I guess that makes Islam blameless? There is no peace and love in Islam. Nobody wants to join a religion with cruel laws and a vicious, violent way of enforcing itself.

Listen. Thanks to all of the nutcases out there blowing innocent people up and crashing planes into buildings, NOBODY is interested in becoming a muslim. You guys need to get the nutcases under control and speak out about them. Right now EVERYBODY hates your religion. Until that hate goes away you will NEVER win anybody's heart or minds.
