I was just watching the preview channel and they had this man, John Beck, on there. He was talking about TAX SALE HOMES. There were 72,000 dollar homes they showed, being bought for 700 dollars. Is this real? Or is it a gimmic?

GIMMIC

There is a great book for like 20 bucks you can buy (or read for free at the library) called something like "Quick cash in Tax sales" by Bill Carey. It takes you step to step through the process of buying property at tax sales. I personally can't do it because you need to evict people who are either ederly or have some type of misfortune that prevented them from paying their property taxes while their house is paid off. And for those that aren't paid off, you have to ask why the bank didn't foreclose on them or why hasn't an investor picked up this property.

I rather make money while helping people.

It's a gimmic, you can do by yourself what he promotes for a cost. All you have to do is go to your state's Taxation and Revenue web site and look up the delinquent property division. There you will get all the information for free that he promotes at a cost. But if you don't believe me send me $700 and I'll quit claim your house to you.

A scam. If he could buy a $72,000 home for $700, why is he trying to sell you a $69 course?

Yes, I am a Real Estate Investor, and I have his course. It is missing a great deal of information. Do not buy it. If you want to know about tax liens go to your local county and ask them about their property tax sales, or go to your local library.

Scam. They get you to buy the first course, then are harrassed by sales people to keep buying more and more.
