you can learn it and progress.

You can learn guitar and drums even at 92. Are you kiddin me?
I started guitar at 16 ,now i m 18, and after 5 months i went first time at studio with a band, and after 9 months from the beginning i played to concerts, not something special but it was fantastic even i played on 200 persons only. What else. Right now i m getting prepared to take a diploma, play a bit keyboards and bass. I ll start a new band, and i m very happy because i can play nicely, everything i want(except jazz wich i hate), as fast as i want. I can play solos similar to Van Halen and Malmsteen. The truth is that i practised a lot but i love it so much....I know theory, harmony, etc. I wanna have a record maybe...Everybody admitts i became a good guitarist and i ll continue improving. You can do the same. you might go faster or slower, you might do not want to play Black metal and Neoclassical/Speed metal so you ll not have to practise as much as me, but you ll be happy when you ll play your first song, so happy that this will encourage you a lot.

What are u waiting? pick a guitar now!!!!!!

My spouse didn't start playing the guitar until he was 30. He practices for at least a half hour daily. I love listening to him practice. I hear him improving everyday, it's amazing how far he's come. At first his fingers and hands didn't want to cooperate but after a few weeks of practicing his fingers adapted. You are still young and can do whatever you set your mind to so go at it. If you want to take this seriously I would recommend either getting lessons or having someone you know that plays to help you. A teacher will greatly affect how fast you learn as they are able to teach you rather than figuring it out for yourself. Good Luck & God Bless!

Yes, You can!! I'm forty five and I'm in a band ( You should see the new T shirts and Jerseys that Rick scored for us!! They have Our band's name and graphics on them! Wild!! ). I'm learning all sorts of stuff; hell one night they had me playing bass guitar ( I'm lead vocals in the group ) and I picked it up. Another night I was on the drums and managed to keep the tempo right. Stay with it and keep it fun, that's the way I think it works out best. I've progressed fairly well, You can too; just try and remember it's all about having a good time!! It's funny, I had to quit the band because I'm moving to the States; but my Bandmates have kept the lead vocals open for me anytime I want to come Jam with them; and made a point of getting me to still come out to practices. That makes me feel really, well; part of something special. You could have that too Dude, it's a hell of a thing!

You can learn to play at any age. The length of time it takes you to become good depends on how much prat ice and innate talent you have. You can do finger and hand exercises to strengthen and limber your hands. As far as timing, you either have it or you don't. You can improve on it, but if you have no rhythm in the first place, then you can't learn it.

Of course you can. You can learn at almost any age.

Take some lessons and you'll be alright in no time. It depends how naturally talented you are; you could be a "semi-pro" in anything from a year, to never.

It's really up to you. If you really want to learn, don'tl imit yourself to 30 mins a day, or an hour a day. If you want to learn bad enough, you will.
