I'll tell you what my mother (who's been a labor and delivery nurse for 30+ years) tells everyone who asks her this question: you have a 50/50 chance. There's no sure fire way to tell. Old wives tales say carrying low means you're having a boy... well I carried high. They say if you have no morning sickness, it's a girl... well... I didn't. And guess what... I have a son. Stick it out until the ultrasound. Each pregnancy is so different from the next. Even in the same mother. You'll hear 100 different things from 100 different people. Ignore them, and wait until the sonographer tells you! And keep in mind, that even then... it's not 100% acurate (but pretty damn close!)

I heard that if your belly is low it's a girl and if it is high it's a boy. I personally do not believe in old wives tales because it ridicouolous however, I am 35 weeks and this lady came out of no where and asked me was I having a boy. I said to her yes, I asked her how did she know and she said because my belly is high.
She may of just had a lucky guess... Anyway the best way to know for sure is by getting a songram and even that is not 100%.

No, it's not true that you can tell what sex a baby is by the way the mother is carrying it. There is no way to tell the sex of an unborn child without an ultrasound.

I believe this is an old wives tale. Even with an ultrsound you may not really know until it arrives, I am a living example of that...I was suppose to be Micheal Ryan, insead I am Michelle Elizabeth.

Thats crap. I had 3 boys and carried them all different. You can tell fairly accurately with amniocentesis, but that can result in miscarriage. Try finding out at the ultrasound, but the only sure way will be at the birth.

I'm carrying extremely low and they say its a girl. Ultrasound is a close way, but not 100% accurate (its only as good as the person interpreting what they are seeing on the screen).

Yes, but you don't really want to pee on wheat and barley every day for a week do you? It is an ancient egyptian technique, and was proven in the 20's, but it just isn't practical, and no one really wants to do it. If the wheat grows, it is a boy, if the barley grows, it is a girl. Just get an ultrasound if you really want to know.

No, they're all old wives' tales. Every woman carries differently. An ultrasound around 20 weeks should tell you what you want to know.

One of the best Arabian Methods:
1- Get some of your "pee" (urine) and plant some wheat seeds in a pot, irrigate the seeds with the Urine, if it's a boy, the wheat will grow.
2- Plant some malt in another pot and do the same.. Malt will grow if you have a baby female. Good luck...
