Darn Baseball!!!
They shouldn't even call themselves athletes! I mean come on! It starts raining so they have to stop playing cause the field is wet?????

Because greedy Major League Baseball and their advertisers want your money. How else are you going to pay baseball players' ridiculous salaries?

I don't have an interest in the World Series. I believe that most people feel that way unless one of their teams make it into the playoffs.

I really wanted to see football tonight. I'm a football fan first - why should I be made to suffer because some want to watch baseball.

They should run both at the same time, and let people watch what they want. If you want to watch both, go buy yourself a PIP TV set or buy two cheap TV's.

But the truth is that the greedy, slimy advertisers will want to pay less for tonight's game because they believe the viewership will be diminished. MLB can't possibly afford to lose ANY money because those juiced up billionaire players have to get paid. That's why you can't see football tonight.

There's nothing quite like paying $150+ for two people to go to a baseball game (they play 160 games a year). Sure NFL is expensive, but they play only 16 games a year. Who's making more money?

Baseball is dying. There are lots of other sports that have to work hard for fan support and are willing to do it. People are sick and tired of paying high ticket prices to watch synthetic, juiced up androids try to beat a legendary home run record.

Thank you MLB for sticking it to us NFL fans.

I doubt it's because they don't want to compete, lets face it if you like baseball or not, football is just plain watched more then baseball and i'm sure sunday night football gets more viewers then the WS does, I'm sure they just do it out of respect.

Yea - even regular season football games beat baseball playoff games- so competition is not an issue. Post-season baseball playoff ratings have been pathetic.
The lousy Oak-Denver game last week beat a very exciting Mets-Cards game. Though DHW beat both easily.

Because of the World Series.
The same thing happens on the night of the Super Bowl. No NHL or NBA games are scheduled the night of the Super Bowl.

Most likely because of the World Series.

But since when do competing networks respect each other?

Television is a NASTY business!

See you next Sunday night!

they will never put an NFL game against the world series. That would be a horrible business decision.

They do it as a courtesy to MLB, for the World Series.
