It depends on how late your period is, maybe you should give it a few days and then try again with 2 new tests. Also it's better to take the pregnancy test when you wake up in the morning bcus you have a better chance at receiving the accurate results. Better yet make a doctor's appointment, that's the most accurate answer.

Accuracy of a preganancy test is affected by a few things. Did you recently give birth? If so you may still have some pregnancy hormone in your system that would make it positive. How many days since your missed period? Did you use too much/too little urine? In any case, the best way to tell is to just go to the Dr. They can examine you.

Take a third. Usually the best time to take the test is first thing in the morning when the concentrations are higher. Have a blood test at your doctors for a definite.

I've heard you can have a false negative but unlikely to have a false positive. You could try a third but best to have a blood test done at the doctors office. Good luck.

Go for best 2 out of 3!
If that comes out positive, make an appointment with your local clinic for a blood test!

False positives are very rare. I would assume you are pregnant and make an appointment with your OB. Let them know about the 2nd test though so they can do a blood test. Congratulations!

Go to a doctor to have it verified one way of the other. Chances are you're pregnant. False positives are EXTREMELY rare, where false negatives can be caused by something as simple as not peeing enough on the stick, or having pee that's too diluted. Check with your doc to be sure.

One thing that I can tell you that my doctor told me. You can have a negative negative with a pregnacy test but you can not have a negative positive. So you are pregnant and should schedule a doctors appointment.Congrats!
