How do you know who are your true friends?
Are they the one who party with you or help you to grow as a person?

A true friend will be honest with you - not just tell you what you want to hear. Sometimes it will make you mad but it's because they care about you. A true friend will get up out of bed and meet you somewhere when you call. A true friend will tell you when you're being stupid.

Back in my days (late 60s early 70s)friendship meant, handshakes were ironclad deals. when you gave some one your word of honor it was true as gold. a true friend stood beside you, not behind you, but next to you. a true friend wont let you fall, if you fall a true friend will pick you up &set you in the right direction. people are fony be careful,theres still some good people out there.

A true friend should be both. Unfortunately, there are alot of people who will claim to be your 'true friend' but in actuality they are not. You will see the difference. Trust your gut feelings. If you pay attention to that little voice inside, it will never steer you wrong:o)

My most favorite definition of a friend is: Friends are God's way of taking care of us...
Good friends are a heavenly gift! They party with us, but also cry with our tears.. They listen to what we say & understand all what we didn;t say... They give us comfort & support sometimes by just being there for us..
When we mention all that we have also to mention that to get and keep such a good friend, we have to be good friends to them as well!

I think they're the ones that help you to grow as a better person. I wish there was more people out there woukldn't back stab others or gossip!

friedship and lie are synonym. for eg. a true friend friend never tells the truth. a true friend will never say that you have a very bad hairdo when you are having a bad hairday. on the other hand, an enemy is the one who slways tells the truth.

A true friend is someone you have fun with, can talk to about anything. Someone who accepts & understands everything about you & sticks by you no matter what. Someone who never judges you. Someone who inspires you. Someone who is always there.
