I was wondering how much you would suggest bringing to Las Vegas for your first trip? I plan on bring around $200 to gamble with and will be staying for 7 days. Any help would be great

I'd say stick with your $200 gambling budget. Your first time can be addicting and you might spend more then intended. Stick to the little bets, or cheap machines like the penny's or nickels until you get more comfortable. But remember IT CAN GET ADDICTING, TRY NOT TO GO CRAZY ON THE GAMBLING!! There's so much more to do and see than just the casino.

Only budget as much money as you can afford to lost. If you have a ATM/DEBIT CARD, you do not have to bring a lot of cash with you. But be careful about using your card because, although a few people do win big in Vegas, most lost.. Dont fall into the trap of thinking I will get some more money and win back what I have lost. Consider yourself lucky if you come back with what you left with. Everytime I go to Vegas, I plan on $100.00 per day for gambling. Also, what about sightseeing and the buying of presents for family and friends. I LOVE VEGAS.

I agree with the people who say only bring what you can afford to lose.

However, I would also bring some money to go do other things in case your luck goes or you get tired of gambling. The tours are amazing - to Hoover's Dam, Death Valley, the Grand Canyon, the river towns along the Arizona/Nevada border and all sorts of incredible nature preserves (the Valley of the Fire for one).

I know it is not cool to go to Vegas and not gamble but there is much much more to see and do than gamble.

We take about $300 a day for gambling and food, etc. (for two people). I usually have some of my own money to gamble with (about $40 per day). We are not big gamblers, and have never ran out of money on $300 per day. We usually go home with plenty of money left over. We eat a rather expensive places, too. Unless you like to throw money away when you are gambling, I think $200 is enough.

It's your own personal preference as to how much money you spend, but I do recommend using a players club card where ever you go. You earn points you can use toward other things like meals and even toward a future stay. Enjoy!

The more money, the better, I always say.

Just keep this in mind: only bring what you can afford to spend. IF you can't see yourself losing more than $200, don't bring it, because ultimately, you will probably lose it.

Count on $50 a day. That's a nice conservative round figure. Only $28 a day, and I think you'll go through it too quick, and feel you're missing out.

Bring as much as you can stand to lose and don't lose your round trip ticket.

The best advice is, don't bring what you CAN'T afford to lose. Have a nice time there.
