I have a mutual wireless internet connection from my neighbor in a three unit (converted house), my neighbor lives in the unit across from me - I initially bought a Belkin wireless to connect and decided I wanted to move the computer to the other bedroom so I bought a wireless antenna to make the signal stronger - as of late my signal has been at a constant "low" or "very low" which has hindered my moving the computer to the new room. Is there something I can do to make the signal stronger so I can move the computer out of my living room?

Buy a better antennae for your wireless card, also a better antennae for the wireless router in your neighbors unit.

Why not get a Pre-N router from Belkin too? i've tested one (router was in a 2nd floor back room of a restaurant where I was testing it). I went to the ground floor of the building across the street - more than a hundred meters away. Signal was still strong - running on full throughput.

Might need a better Antennae on the Router that your neighbor has.

Or switch to Wirelss N..it is MUCH stronger.

I can direct you to a link which may help to solve your problem. An internet connection can become slow or stop working due to a number of reasons depending on the type of the connection. Many of the problems can be solved by making software changes or small hardware corrections. Detailed instructions at http://tinyurl.com/yl62gz

You're stealing his signal? Sheesh. Get a life and pay for your own connection.'

You have to ask your neighbor give permission to you to use, therefore you shouldn't have any problem. Otherwise, you can't.
