Studie your lines a lot before you go on. When you're out there, don't look at the audience, look at your fellow cast members. Don't think of anything but the play when you're out there. If you think too much then you'll forget your lines. You'll do fine. Break a leg.

Give the 10 to Mindtelep.

Beyond that answer I'll also add this. Often the audience is at least 30 feet away,,, They came to see ACTING, and they get it that it's likley not Broadway caliber. Beyond, beyond that, if there is a decent lighting system you won't see the audience, so in essence you're "playing" to yourself. Certainly you can take "cues" in the flow, from anyone whos lines preceed yours.

one time i was in a play and i didnt have many lines and i had to do it in front of the whole junior high. I was sooo nervous. But that's what a play is about if you forget your lines, your teamates will be able to tell.... dont make it obvious just walk around like you know what your gonna say and eye someone and they should give you the 1st couple of words, to get ya back in action again.... hahaha it happened to me... i was a cop interigating a witness and he was sitting in a chair and i was walking around him and standing behind him and before you knew it i was quiet i forgot the next line.. so i started massaging his shoulders and he pretending like i was making him nervous because he was under investigation.... then he whispered my line to me.!!!! Thats what theyre there for. Good luck Sunshine

I used to be really nervous when I had piano recitals. I overcame some of my nervousnous by playing for my friends/family, grab anyone who would listen in the hallway of my practise room and play for them. Practising in front of different people helped me not be so nervous. I was till nervous mind you, but not to the point where I was doubting my ability or memory. And before I preformed I would relax and take deep breaths.

Before going onstage, rub the area between your thumb and index finger. Works wonders for stagefright, gives you good concentration too when studying your lines.

The best way for me to learn was to record myself saying my lines, then I would just play it over and over and say my lines along with the recording.

dont worry about it! think of yourself as that charector! your living your life as the charector you have...and the audience is just people walking on the streets stoppin by. Just keep focused! break a leg!

Each person in the audience sees you personally for himself. no-one sees you as an audience . You are not performing for 100 people , You are performing for one person , a hundred times.
GOOD LUCK
