Oh this is so embarrassing!!

Okay.. My boyfriend has made a couple of jokes with me about having a BO problem. I just laughed it off. He's right!!

I shower constantly, and go through loads of anti-persperant deodorant. I buy the best quality always. But i sometimes smell it myself. Its not strong but im worried others smell it. it normally only happens if im wearing tight tops that stick under the arms if you know what i mean.

Now what?

I dont know if it has anything to do with my diet. I dont eat meat, but i drink tonnes of water.

Don't be embarrassed! Everyone sweats at one point or another. Your taking the right steps, drinking plenty of water. If you are on a veg diet then you will prob eat loads of garlic and onions etc, this can make the odour stronger. So try and stay away from them for a while and see if it helps. Try to wear cotton tops, instead of tight fittint tops. I sweat a hell of a lot when i wear tight nylon tops.

If these steps dont help all that much, go and visit your GP, thats what doctors are there for. Take Care xXx

May be you are too sensitive? Too conscious of your body? Body odor is like bad breathe - Others notice but you don't.

Check what you eat. Onions, garlic and some kind of spices give out an odor that is objectionable. Especially, in combi with pork and garlic give out a smell that can churn your stomach. Garlic smell comes out of your skin pores and from lungs (breathe) for 3 days after you have had it first because it is in the blood stream. Stop those for two weeks and see if it makes any difference.

Wear loose clothes, mostly cotton or silk. In other words, wear natural fiber. Not nylon or other synthetic materials. They do not absorb sweat well.

Antiperspirants are not the answer. It either masks or stops your body from functioning normally.. Some people, under stress, sweat profusely. Perhaps you should do some experiment and not wear the antipers for a while. That way you know whether you are unduly under stress. Only you can solve this.

Other than that, you are doing all other things right, such as drinking plenty of water, eat right (?) and exercise.

First of all- avoid nylon clingy tops. They make any girl sweat. Wear a 100% cotton top/t-shirt under any jumper etc.

Do not wear nylon, acrylic or lycra/man-made fibres near to your armpits. silk, cotton or wool only.

Apply deodrant 2-3 times daily. Always carry some in your handbag.

Thouroughly wash your underarms with soap when showering or bathing.

Be aware that spicy foods such as garlic and onions can make the sweat smell worse, so compensate with more deodrant, more washing and some nice perfume when you have a good curry!

Excess weight and nerves can make you sweat more too- try drinking more water to keep impurities less concentrated and keep fit with regular exercise.

dove deodrant is great. very effective and smooths your armpits too!

Right, first stop fretting coss it makes it worse.
We all smell differant and we all sweat, just some more than others.
There is light end of tunnel, go to chemist and ask for
{ ANHYDROL FORTE } It is a treatment for hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating.
You put it on at bed time and wash of in morn and believe me it works a treat. y can use each night till y see a difference , then cut back to once a week.
You will never have wet patches again. only costs about £5 .
Try it and good luck.

I think some people are more sensitive to other peoples odors than others.

Like, my ex had a funky odor down there, if you know what I mean - even after he showered. I thought all guys were like that. He was my one and only so I didn't know better. It was putrid - I could barely stand it for 10 years of marriage (but I have to admit, our sex life diminished!).

Long story short, my hubby now could work all day and at night when he gets home, I find nothing offensive about him, down there, or anywhere!

So, maybe it's not really you, it might be that you and her aren't chemically compatible.

The best roll-on is the Mitchum [green-bottle] roll-on, i have used it for years and it is so good you only need to use it every third day. I never smell. When i use normal deodorants it just does not work for me. Check out if the smell is worse when you have your monthly's , a friend of mine used to get a strong musky underarm smell when she had her periods. But really Mitchum is the best.

I know that tea cleans out the toxics in your body and curry makes your sweat smell too. Try wearing breathable type material, like cotten. Bring baby wipes with you so you can freshen up, or/and go and see your doctor, its worth a try aint it. But dont worry if your bf is "the one" then he will love you regardless. But goodluck though x

DO you exercise regularly? Drinking tons of water should be good for your body odor.

I recommend you see your doctor. Strong body odor can be an indicator for some illnesses.

Stop wearing tight tops. It could have to do with the type of material you wear. Wear cotton it breathes and won't make you perspire as much.
