Red does not PROMOTE anything. We use the colour red as a symbol for a lot of things. It is used on warning signs, and danger signs, stop signs, to catch our attention and to make us aware that something dangerous may happen if we are not aware. Red has been associated with hostility, but does not promote it. When someone is mad they may get red in the cheeks, or forehead. Red is also the colour of blood, so it has an association with violence but the colour is not violent. Many different colours can change peoples moods, or effect people in many ways. I think because we have used red as an aggressive colour and associated it with dangerous things, it has gotten a bad rap. Colours are just colours. The emotions that they provoke in all of us depend on the person viewing the colour. Is a colour blind person non-hostile because they can't see the colour red?

It has been said for many years that red is a hostile color. In North Carolina at one time (maybe still) all the inmates on death row wore red jump suits. Yes I know that for a fact. I saw them way too often. Go figure why they would be issued such a color if it were a hostile color.

I know what you mean, I am a racing driver for Ferrari and both my car and my clothes are red...

Everyone else on the track chases after me and attempts overtakes very agressively at times, they are so rude...

I wonder if I join Maclaren which has a different colour car they might treat me differently
