Quote: "Don't answer if you are puritan...."
Really not much point adding that - the religious mob around here is only just smart enough to put their two-cents worth in , but too bloody stupid to read anything which tells them to p*ss off...ironic that really!
To answer the question as best I can (as there are a few possibilities), pornography is designed to arouse to bodies biggest sexual organ - the imagination. My Fiancée (soon to be wife) & I have a fantastic relationship, but we love to explore our sexuality in many different way - sometimes that involves a bit of porn to inspire a few new ideas..or sometimes just to enjoy it together as a form of foreplay.
For the single person it acts to provide release when other options not at hand (pardon the pun).
Yes porn can ruin a marriage if it is only for the gratification of ONE party - but that can be said of just about anything. But then in a good marriage, communication should be able to avoid such damage (so that being said, maybe it CAN'T ruin a GOOD marriage)
Oh, and to those saying that porn "degrades" women for the please of men, consider this :
*men are not the only viewers of pornography - their is a large amount aimed at women or couples
*it's not just women who star in pornos!

Haha im only answering in response to the under informed person who wrote 'to degrate abused women', or whatever.
You think these girls are being forced? Its pure choice, and a choice that makes them a lot of money I would guess.
Just cause youre too ugly to be a porn star doesnt mean people who arent are being degrated.....and how do you connect a porn star with abuse???

Depends on what kind of porn you are talking about. Some of it is degrading and victimizes people. Other types can be stimulating for people who need their fantasies lived out.
