if you go to a site and it says you need active-x you probably don't want it so cancel it and get off the page. if you go to a site and expect to do or use something there then install it. there is a site called pcpitstop.com go there they have a active-x install it and run a full system scan they can help you with a ton of stuff go check it out I highly recommend them and it's free.
