you just know.when you start doubting your friendship and start finding a thousand things wrong with your friend/friendship and hardly anything right with it.when you don't feel the need to try to fix it up.the list goes on.
its a sad fact of life but sometimes it just happens

yeah, when you have to ask questions like this and you see weak spots in your relationship, its probably time to end it. Holding on hurts more than letting go. Always. And your friend is probably feeling the same kind of doubts as you are at this point. You both are waiting for the other person to make a move, so nobody is talking. Be first to make the move.

Each of us grows and changes and sometimes in different directions. Maybe just a few weeks of not seeing each other would help you make the decision as to whether you want to continue the friendship. Know this though, good friends are very hard to come by in your lifetime. I have one.

when you notice yourself taking your eyes onto another person and the other part is the thing your partner used to do makes you so happy and now that your partner does it, you find it so annoying.. thats when you are falling apart..
