I just had a new alternator put in last year. That's about the time it started.

Check the big ground wire between the engine and the frame. The alternator is grounded to the engine, but the lights are grounded to the frame. The battery is usually enough buffer to smooth out alternator fluctuations if the grounds are all good.

My coguar does that too, but I have a MTX sub in the trunk... When does the lights pulse. Becuse your can light dim if you are running anything AC or moving the windows up and down.

Either the alternator is defective or it was not installed properly or the belt is slipping.

I'd check connections. Problem usually caused by bad ground, loose connection or both.
