you exist now because you choose to, because there is air to breathe, there is food and water to nourish you and there are no dangers to prevent you from growing, experiencing, living, interacting and rejuvinating.
You can choose to exist, or you can choose to live.
Maybe a different question is why don't people not exist. . .

Before you became a human being you still existed as other forms of existance. The question is when did you feel the need to ask yourself why you exist and why? Or when is the first time you realized that you existed so that you can ask why? karma?
