"Brokeback Mountain" had me crying for days. It is the most heartbreaking love story I have ever seen.

I'd say that MOULIN ROUGE gave me the biggest personal reaction. The relationship in the film mirrored alot of things about the relationship I was in at the time and I still cry every time I see it. On a broader scale, UNITED 93 shook me down to my core. It's a very well made movie and it felt like reliving Sept 11 all over again. While I'd recommend it to other people, it was so emotionally difficult to watch that I don't know if I ever want to see it again.

I'm a veteran of the Iraq war now, but even before I enlisted in the army I was a sucker for war movies. I cry everytime. Saving Pvt. Ryan, Pearl Harbor, Saints & Soldiers, Thin Red Line...Braveheart. They all left me reeling. Probably because stuff like that really happened. 18 year old kids really did cry for their mothers on the beaches at Normandy...And Scot's were really dismembered to prove a point. It's the true stories of love and life and loss that get to me the most. I'm a wuss. *shrug*

I watched the Notebook (hated it!!) with my b/f - who kept insisting I would love the movie. At the end, when she gets hysterical again & the nurses rush in to restrain her & sedate her, & the look of horror on James Garners' face - well, my mom was in a nursing home for 2 years recently & I went through some very similar things. Seeing that scene actually sent me into hysterics - weeping & wailing & all. I made him cut it off. Of course, he was ticked off & asked me was I gonna "wig out" every time we watched a movie. I was so mad at him!!! What a horrible movie!

This is going to sound strange but "Titanic" and "Somewhere In Time", made me feel and get really emotional. I had just gone through a divorce at the time I saw; {Somewhere In Time}, and it was just like someone had slapped me or something like that. I realized at that moment in time, that I had lost my childhood sweetheart for-ever, even though we tried to make it work out. We just had grown up together, got married in high-school, and had a child......!! I have seen it many times since then. Even if I don't re-act in the same way, I still get choked up.

Primal fear gave me the most "i cant believe it" reaction.
The notebook, walk to remember, bridges of madison county & beaches are the ones I cried the most during.
But terms of enderment is a lump in the throat movie as well.

FRENCH KISS with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. This movie is not about the way you kiss, is about the way true love is, without selfishness. I love it, I have it at home and I see it when ever I have enough time or I am in a lonely mood.

Oddly enough I have to go with Gladiator, from the moment that Maximus finds his wife and son dead it really is that he's looking forward to death. He fights because that's who he is,but the abandon he shows is that death wish showing through and I hate to say it but it was something I identified with. When he finally dies and goes to his wife and son that absolutely crushed me. I rarely have a strong emotional reaction to movies but that one definitely got me more than most.
