I saw a doctor last year, he advised the whole fibre, lots of water, fruits and vegitables thing to me.
I started on the laxatives thing becasue i was getting constipated on a regular basis after i stopped my martial arts clases and not because I had some weight problem.

I literarilly drink gallons of water. May be 'd increase my fibre intake again.

Thank you guys

I think you need to see a doctor. I have had simular problems for years. Went to gastroenterologist. Did endoscopy--had gastritis. Had colonoscopy. For the bloating he told me to do yogurt with lactobacilus acidophyllis. (I ate 2-3 containers per day for maybe 2 weeks) Did wonders. Also, I do one bowl of high fiber cereal per day and now it is amaging-haven't taken a laxative for 2-3 months. Also, he told me that I had lactose intolerance. No milk products. I drink soy milk. Good luck.

I really hate tell you this but you have a type of eating disorder. The reason you feel bloated all the time is because your body has gotten use to the food not being there. When you take laxatives your body gets rid of all that food and when you don't take the laxatives your body feels bloated, If I where you I would go see a doctor this can become a real problem, if you don't.

Hiya Bab's - My lil sis had the same problem with her eating disorder;the bloating can be drastically reduced if you take active bacteria drinks such as Actimel Daily - it works equally as well for pre menstral bloating too - like those one a day yougarty type drinks really reduce the effect.
Do not get too despondent the human body has an amazing abilty to recover and if you try and keep on trying you will succeed. In the end most of it's down to lack of self confidence and fear.
Good luck Hon.x

Yes you are addicted! People who take laxatives regularly can become dependent upon them for movement of their bowels, requiring ever increasing dosages to achieve the desired effect until finally the intestine becomes insensitive and fails to work properly. Frequent use of laxatives can induce constipation as the tissues of the colon lining become dried out, muscles become weakened and nerves become damaged.

You need to STOP doing that RIGHT NOW! Go and see a Doctor!
Try natural fiber pills and eat more vegetables! Drink lotts of water!

Check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org. Bloated stomach might be due to low blood sugar - one of the conditions caused by high insulin production. A change of diet away from sugar and into higher fiber may solve both problems.

I don't think you're addicted to the laxatives but you need to see a doctor about your bloating, because it could be something you're eating or some type of medical issue.

Your stomach feels bloated because theres actually food in it now it will take time but the bloating should vanish once your stomach gets used to having food in it

The only way to tell is to stop using them.
Try bran, or other natural solutions.
And see a doctor if the problem persists.

quit using laxitives...period. try using natural food sources. fruit and veggies are a great way to keep you going with out problems. grapefruit is a great source of fiber. if you dont do the fruit thing then try using fiber dietary aides instead of laxitives. much better for your system.
