Because even if we are not perfect in every life there are those "perfect" moments whether it is a perfect shot in basketball at the last moment of a game, a triple play in baseball, or a 300 game in bowling these are the "perfect" moments where practice has made it possible. I am sure there are many more perfect moments but my mind wont conjure them up right now.

Great Question, However don't think there is an answer to that one.
I will give it a try thou, it might be worth the 10 points.
Practice dose make perfect, and because nobody is ment to be perfect, and nobody likes to be told their not perfect, then they will keep practicing to be perfect.
I hope that makes perfect sense.

Practice doe not make perfect. It makes permanent.
Meaning whatever you do the more you do it the better it will be.

We practice to feed the illusion that there is the hope we can be perfect although we all secretly know that's not possible.

As any politician will tell you these days - perfection is an aspiration, not a target. Any help?

i'm not perfect, but i'm damned close. it's only a saying as you can never be perfect at something but you can always get better at it.

It's like 'one man's steak is another man's poison....' therefore to define 'perfect' will effectively make everyone imperfect - but Boy! do I like practising!!!
