theres this girl who i really like, but she has a bf, but she's a really good listener and i like talking to her despite that, and we both have today off from school, and i wanna hang out with her but i'm hesitant to ask her to do anything cuz im afraid she won't want to?

i have a 6 month membership there so im pretty sure she can get it for free with me... but if not she has to pay 10$... should i pay it anyway, or will that give her the wrong idea if that happens?!

i forgot to mention that im really shy, mostly cuz i have a lot on my mind, but i always manage to be able to have good convo with my friends, but not sure if i can aviod awkward silences.. they're sooo annoying!!

No it's not wierd. I have a guy friend that always asks me to go to the gym with him (and we're both married). I don't think it's wierd. It might even be flattering, it will make her feel like you think going to the gym is normal for her because she looks so good. I'ts a great place to hang out and just talk, (I think that's a great idea!) Go for it.And when she accepts your offer just say: If you don't have a membership I've got you covered. (And pay the ten bucks and act like it's no big deal.)By the way: if you're shy the gym is the best place to go cause you can always say: hey have you ever tried? (point to an exercise machine or something) OR: how many of these do you think you could do? OR: wow this is making me kinda thirsty do you want some water? OR: do you want me to spot you?(when doing bench presses)

I think asking her to the to the gym is a totally great idea. I am pretty sick of every single date being a trip to a bar. Ten out of ten for originality to you! Also; this takes the heat off any awkwardness you may feel in terms of attraction as this is a pretty cool low key thing to do with a friend. If she says no - it would only be because she already has other plans. It's clear she likes you and finds you interesting or she would not be a "good listener" to you!

I think if your motives where just friendly then it would be OK.
But.
It seems clear to me that you want to be more than friends with this girl and that may be a problem.
If she is an an unhappy relationship then I might suggest you go for it.
If not you should probably give yourself some time away from her and try to meet some other girls

If you are buds then t here is nothing wrong with going to the gym.
Just make sure you have nothing else on your mind... Sometimes someone who becomes a good listener and understands you, becomes something more in your head and then bang-go
trouble..
Keep it cool and don't get too friendly, then you'll be okay....

no its normal, a friendly gesture! just ask her if she says no then no it is! :)
if its free then suggest it to her and if she's ok with that then good, btif not then just say that ul pay for the 1st session btif she disagrees then joke it off,u dnt want her to look cheap even tho ur bein nice,

It's fine to ask her to go to the gym with you, if she likes that kind of stuff. Places like that are really good places to get to talk. You should ask her!

it all depends on ur way of presentin her the question...jst make sure tht u say it in a way tht wnt make her think tht u think shes fat...jst go ask her like 'hey im going to the gym today and lkin for some company...want in?'
