I went thru google earth with my 81 year old grandad and we marked all the houses and buildings that are relevant to our family history. we marked on the house in which he was born, the houses where my mum and uncles were born, where grandad first worked, where he and my nan were married etc...it was really fascinating!

but right now i'm off to find Cores End!!

where I live is blurry and not detailed which is such a shame. I guess it's because it's rural?

The beach on Fraser Island in Australia is good to look at as you can see people driving up and down it. Also ayers rock, great wall of china, even looking at places like euro disney and realising the golf course is shaped like Mickey Mouse's ears!

I found my house, even shewing my garden umbrella out the back. My Cab was parked out front but I had disposed of this some 6 years ago,so the pics must be quite old

Put the terrain option on and look at the Himalayas and Mount. Everest at a horizontal view, they look quite good.

Area 51 is not that good, it's just an airstrip.

I relish the heck out of GE. Moreso in conventional or touristy spots, you will get a brilliant, sparkling view appropriate as much as seeing vehicles on the line. In vacationer spots, you are able to set it to work out each and every type of little image pins, which open the two table certain webcams or pictures human beings have published of a definite internet site or attraction. acquire the unfastened version. optimistically you have intense-velocity cyber web. you will relish it.

I think just getting a true non-map perspective of the layout of your town/city is the best feature.
