Babe if your're such a fashion flunk as you call it then how did you land a date with the most popular football star.Either you're really hot and can pull off a potatoe sack-no problem or cold reality would be it dosen't really matter what you wear because chances are it will end up coming off.No offence but I have yet to meet a jock who is kind natured,especially a popular one-at least not ones in highschool.Wear what makes you comfortable and that you feel hot in-a person always knows themselves best.I understand you might be trying to impress him but you already have by landing a date now show him who you are and hold your own.If he is a nice guy then lucky you if My highschool experiences hold true then I guess it's really up to you and what you want and are old enough not to mention proctected.Sorry if I'm too intense but I personally don"t trust jocks-never had a single good experience with a jock,an over protective brother and uncle I am when it comes to jock folk!

Calm down. It’s going to be great. Only thing you don’t want to do is showing you have spent so much labor/effort/thought into one date. Try not to show how eager you are. Don’t over do anything. You are just going out for an evening, and are going to have fun.
For makeup: Less is more. If you don’t wear makeup usually, this is not a time foran experiment. All you need is mascara and lipgloss. If you must wear more makeup, practice before, and show your face to your brother or guy friend. They are more likely to give you honest opinions than your girlfriends.
For clothing: It depends on what you guys are doing. I wouldn’t deviate far from what I would dress normally. Make sure they are clean, and have no tear/hole/missing buttons. I would wear black t-shirts and dark indigo skinny or wider jeans with either cute booties or black knee-high boots. Add a sweater coat in any color, and you are done. Trendy but understated. Again, you don’t want to overdo this. Make sure that the clothes show your bodylines well, not looking bulky.
For accessory: I would add one long necklace, but nothing else.
For attitudes: Don’t stare at him with your dreamy eyes. Don’t appear to be too eager. Smile a lot, and be polite. You should be a good listener. Let him talk about his stuff. The first date is a tryout. Relax, you are going to have fun.

Hey Kara - where are you?
If you were in London I would suggest going to Zara, New Look and Hennes (H&M) which are really cheap. Wear knee- high tan boots over dark blue skinny jeans. A silky glam top (white, cream or gold) with a waist length military style jacket over the top.
Most people have the jeans and the glam top so you just need to buy the stuff you don't have. The key is to accessorise. You can spend a tenner on accessories and make any outfit look a hundred pounds more expensive.
Good luck for the date - make sure he takes you somewhere nice!

How'd you get a date with him if you're a "fashion flunk?" Obviously he's got to find something about your kind of attractive, but...to the tips.
1. Play up your best aspects! If you know you've got tight buns, show them off with jeans that accentuate that, but make sure that you don't go overboard. If you haven't got the pencil thin legs of other people these days, get some wide legged jeans at places like American Eagle. The wide legged jeans are really in this season! Get what you like!
2. Stop at Payless (that shoe store), or a store like that, and weigh out your options of shoes. Do you want cute ballet flats or tall platforms? Maybe something inbetween? Get what you like. If you like it, chances are, it'll show how confident you are.
3. Shirts. Get a shirt (or use a shirt) that you like! Vests and cardigans are in this season. Play up cleavage with a slightly lower look, but don't go too low. And remember to GET WHAT YOU LIKE. If you like it, there's probably a greater chance that it will show. If you don't like it and you where it, chances are, he'll notice, and you'll notice.
4. Make-up. Go kind of subtle. Get maybe a cute peach or green, and some mascara. Pick the rest yourself, and remember what I keep repeating. GET WHAT YOU LIKE.
From there, it's all up to you how you want to play yourself. Just remember that nothing looks better than a 'normal' girl, don't try and make yourself to look too much like other popular girls at your school that you think he'd go out with. Find your own kind of look and keep with it, because if he asked you out, he probably likes you for a reason!

You already have the date with him - obviously you are doing something right cause if he asked you or even if you asked him and he agreed he has some interest in you. So stay clam, be yourself and above all be comfortable.

try going to aeropostale. they have some good outfits but a little expensive. walmarts got some good stuff believe it or not. and it's cheap. find things that are comfortable, not pretty but painful!
