Once the software is configured for your phone, there should be a facility for using the mobile to connect to the Internet.

So whoever you pay your bill to for your phone calls on the mobile, you'll just pay for the time that you spent on the internet using your phone.

So far I know that this facility is provided by: Nokia, Motorola and Sony Ericsson.

You don't need to give up your onetel account - keep that for when you are at home.

My girlfriend can connect her laptop via her mobile, using Vodafone.
She uses NTL when at home, my Plusnet account when here, and Vodaphone if elsewhere.
