all they're cut out to be?

hello praghakar g, you sound like a wonderful mother to me. i'd have rather been born to you ceasarian than to my own naturally. please don't be so hard on yourself. after all, things may have gone wrong if you took the other option. then you child would have been motherless. there is a bright side to this. take care.

If what you are meaning is "Is a ceasarian birth the easy option?" then NO is your answer.

It is important for you to understand that having a caesarean section will also involve pain for you -- but after the birth, not before it. Although you will be given good pain relief while in hospital, you will be recovering from a major abdominal operation, with associated pain and weakness, for at least six weeks following the birth. It's also important to know that you are more likely to develop complications, such as infection and fever, after a caesarean birth.

Haha!! That is funny - and Andy S - that really was amusing!!

On a serious note - a c-section is not an easy option. I do feel guilty for not being able to push my last child out, but then, if I hadn't had an emergency op, then one or both of us would have died. Not something I would choose - I am NOT too posh to push. I'd rather go through the strange mixture of pain and immense ecstaticism (have I just invented a new word?!) of natural birth than have all feeling removed with an epidural that leaves you paralysed, out of control and unable to look after my own child. Nothing more heartbreakng than not being able to tend to your own newborn that is crying out for it's mum.

But - your question was amusing!

They are and more so. It is we mothers who are not cut out for them that we cannot naturally deliver them. I have always nursed a guilty feeling towards my ceasarian daughter.I was perfectly healthy and could have had a natural delivery but I was tempted to go in for a ceasarian just to avoid the pangs.Of course she does not know it but all the more reason for me to feel nervous whenever I look at her.

So,unless it is absolutely necessary don't go in for a ceasarain if you want to aviud ti carry a burden in your neck all your life.Children are good it is we mothers (ceasarian) that are not good for them.It is not for nothing that gods, whenever they wanted to descend on the earth, they chose their mothers. The Blessed Souls,.No incarnation came out with a ceasarianA

I was a ceasarian baby and I'm fine. The only thing is when I want to go out I feel compelled to climb through the window.............

as a joke its funny. but on a serious note, i think c sections shouldnt be performed due to not wanting to push. ie victoria beckham. a c section is mentally torturing. i have had 4 natural birth and the feeling you get after, knowing that this thing is here through all your pushing, panting, swearing at the partner, its the best in the world. i felt proud after all my birth. i felt i had acheived something incredible.

They say that a baby born by a c-section is more intelligent than ones born vaginally.
I read that in a book somewheres. My son was born by a c-section

That and more! I've had 2 out of 3 and they are so special. Not that my natural birth baby isn't as good. I appreciate your wit!
