You can do both on either, but I loved doing nothing on my trip to the Bahamas, and didn't stop at Hawaii!!!
I would go with Hawaii after some consideration

I go to the Bahamas at least once a year, so I'd have to pick Hawaii, because I've never been there.

Why you going there? For the beaches?
If for the beaches both places seem good.
Hawaii is quite far from the mainland, so get ready for a long flight!
But positive is that you don't need a passport, Bahamas being a different country, you got to have one.
I would chose the Hawaii, even though it is really touristic and kitsch.
