Is the Philippines just another Third World country? Is it relatively forgotten by the international community?

I would have to run along with "careforyou". The rest of the world sees the philippines as clot trap because it is not a strong player in the community. I'm just ashamed of the fact that the philippines could have beeen so much better. They had the time to improve but still they don't want to improve. before they were a strong and strong valued community... it appears now that you have an international society where the only criteria of being in the in crowd is to be wealthy and rich. The philippine people are wealthy in ways money can't buy. They can't buy family values and strong connections. If only the international community could only see that... not $$$$$$...

If only the government were stronger and had more sense in taking care of the people. I am proud to be filipino but it's quite hard to live there now.

some people may have forgotten it, but you know what... There are problems EVERYWHERE. The world is in much trouble.... people shouldn't focus on just one place, they should be focusing on the world as one... Unfortunately many do not try to help at all, to fix all the world's problems we all need to pray first of all, avoid sin, and help eachother. It takes time, but it would be time well spent. People used to respect and love eachother because each person is a child of God. Each person has a great gift from God, and that gift is a soul in the image and likeness of him, we all have life.... Sadly, people have forgotten this. I am not going to say that I am not guilty of this at times. But I am working each day to be better, and to try and show others to do the same.

:) through God, anything is possible.

I think about it. Actually, I wonder about it a lot.

The Philippines is a sad case. Wonderful people, wonderful land. Too bad the government can't get its act together. With the people, and the prevelance of English, the Philippines should be a major player in Asia.

Alas, it is just a quaint backwater. No offense.

look at what's happening now.the Philippines itself don't know how to handle all the situations.(specially all the politicians of greed and selfishness) some country might think Philippines is just a junk,so why do they need to give some sympathy?
poor filipinos like us,maybe we don't have any future here........: (
