I believe in Evolution....so......the egg.....chickens evolved from egg laying dinosaurs.

Hen came first, some people say that egg comes first and than it grows up and it get's confusing. Well I think it's a han because when God created the world he created hens.

From the primordial ooze arose a primitive form of unshelled egg which transformed miraculously into the first creature destined to be a chicken. Hence the egg came first....not counting the shell since the hen took a long time to come out of it's shell...hence, what's the matter with you...are you chicken?

Its the egg which came first in chicken n egg chain. The creature which laid this egg went under evolutionary changes that matched closely to chicken,but it was not chicken exactly.So the egg laid by it
gave birth to evolved organism,known to us as chicken.

yeah.. interesting debatable quest.. but scientifically a prof 4m new york had proved that it was egg which came down to this earth after carrying out some work n all....
it had appeared in a paper...
so, lets conclude that its egg which came 1st
