It's true. Ununoctium was created in a lab by a combined Russian-USA effort. They created only three atoms, and none existed for even a full second, so the element doesn't have observed chemical properties, but it's assumed that they would be similar to radon, because Uuo is also a noble gas.

Yes, an inert gas. It was created by colliding two other elements together in a supercollider and lasted for less than a second before breaking down into lesser elements...

It hasn't been named yet as elements are not named until all the tests have been verified... this could take several months...

I believe three or four other elements are still waiting to be named... The last one to receive a name was Californium...

It is a fact, Scientists from USA and Russia have jointly been able to create ununoctium (118), a noble gas below radon in the periodic table by firing different atoms at a cetral nucleus.

They, however, were able to see it for only a millisecond or so, but they are convinced that they saw it. It is a highly radioactive element.

well its true but as the u go higher in the element order or atomic number the half life of the elements reduces... elements 112 & 113 (as per my knowlegde) just exist for 5 to 7 sec so u see the more u go futher the less time period of life is there... the elemnt 118 vanishned something in 1000th(not exact) of a sec...
