Maybe I have done something to it but now it is like internet circa. 1997 speeds....I am not technical and new to the whole mac system. Are there any ways to delete temporary files or change some settings like on IE? Help would be appreciated....

Several people at the Apple Store said the same to me...get Firefox. One also mentioned (confirmed by the cable company) that if you have a wireless network and a cable modem, you can get interference from cheapo DSL connections.

Empty Cache, it's in Safari menu. BTW, is that the only thing that seems slow on your Mac? Try running a little maintenance.

Try resetting Safari. To reset Safari, go to the Safari menu, and click on "Reset Safari." When the confirmation box comes up, click on "Reset" Resetting Safari erases your browsing history, empties the cache, clears the Downloads window, and removes cookies. It also removes any saved names and passwords or other AutoFill text and clears Google search entries.

I upgraded to system ten earlier this year and used Safari for about a week, it's pretty poor isn't it? Firefox is really good and can be downloaded free from their website, it really is much better.

its a crap browser...

download firefox...much better...
