I have heard that drinking a glass of warm prune juice will help you move your bowels. You should be taking some sort of fiber daily to keep you regular. I found that taking ground flax seed daily helps tremendously. Don't take too much to begin with and drink plenty of fluids throughout the day or it will make you even more constipated. Also flax seed is a great source of Omega 3 oil

You can use a stool softener. Eat more fiber. Ibuprofen will help with the stomach pains. Maybe you should start drinking prune juice everyday. It's not good to be constipated, it can really make you sick. You need to tell the Dr. about this. He can give you a prescription that will help.

Home remedies for relieving constipation:

Take one glass of milk while going to bed at night, as this helps in passing stool normally in the morning.

Take at least 2 glasses of warm water in the morning and go for a small walk; this would help in relieving constipation.

Taking 2-3 glasses of lemon juice with warm water 2-3 times a day helps lessen constipation.

Taking 1-2 spoons of Aloe gel will relieve you of this condition.

In Ayurveda, triphala churna helps in relieving constipation. It must be taken along with water or milk before going to bed.

In short, do your yoga asanas everyday and relax for a healthy life.

Epsom Salts work really well and very quickly. They attack the constipation from the top unlike suppositories which work from below (as it were).

For a really healthy cure try visiting a colonic irrigation practice, it's nowhere near as uncomfortable as you may think and is certainly very effective and healthy.

Two glycerin suppositories and hold them in there for as long as you can. Dried apricots will work by tomorrow. Eat 4 today and then have two a day untill you get back to normal.
