You mean Arab names? Well there are lots of famous people in Arab history that people are named by, like famour warriours, scientists, astronomers, doctors, discoverers etc.
Examples: Tariq he discovered famous mountains
Hassan and Hussain they were the sons of Ali who was the nearest dearest relative of the Muslim prophet Muhammed. Ahmed, Mahmoud, Amin etc were names given to Muhammed.
like Khaled and Omar and Salman were famous warrious and friends of the prophet.
Zain, Jaffar, Ali, Abutaleb, etc etc were protectors of the holy house and their relatives were servers of the pilgrims.
those are just some mere examples of names of famous men
Names are also by the names of prophets and their sons like: Muhammed, Kassem, Daniel, Sam, Dawud (david), Issa ( jesus), Ishaq, Zakarya ( Zackary), Suleyman, Nooh (noah) etc..
Women, now there are alot of famous women in Muslim Arab history as women are sacred and favored. For example, Fatima, Zahra, Zainab, Ruqaya were daughters of the prophet.
Khadyja, Aysha, Maria, were the prophets ex wives respectivley.
there were alot of diplomatic women in islamic history like 500 years ago and lots of female scientists and discoverers but they are so many i cannot name them all.
When the Muslims were called to take over the church republic in Spain, Portugal, Italy and a part of France and Cyprus. Muslims and the European natives lived along in peace sharing cutlures and knowledge so Muslims took some forien names like Nirvana, Ruby, Natalie, Sarah etc..

AS FOR GIRLS NAMES THERE IS : Yasmin (or Jasmin in English) , it is a beautiful name , and i like it.
AS FOR BOYS NAMES THERE IS : Islamic names such as "Ahmed,Mohamed,Mostafa,..,...bla,bla,bla"
