I would love to know exactly who owns the NHS. Is it the goverment, or is it the individual trusts. Any help would be a superb. Any ideas of where I can find the structure would also be much appreciated.

it was from the outset when Aneurin Bevan brought it into existance for the British people and supposedly owned by us but over the years you would not be wrong in thinking as far as NHS act you dont exist and the things the managers and top echelon do has to be seen to be believed but you can rest assured it hasn't been sold abroad++++yet !! and to find the actual structure you have a problem

Ultimately it is you and me and everyother British taxpayer which is why it makes me so angry to when my hard earned cash is wasted due to the inefficiencies.

Privitisation with a state regulator is the best way, then it will create a competitive market with other private organisations like BUPA and will mean having to put the patients first whilst rewarding the best doctors and nurses who are the most important people in these firms.

Whilst it remains public you have ministers in charge who do not have the first clue about running businesses and so problems will continue to exist.

It's a government run organization. Badly run. But the people voted them in, so in a way we the people own it, or are shareholders i guess. But I would like to sell my share, because it runs at a huge loss, misapropiates funds, has way to many administraters, has a lawyer as its head, basically my dog could do a better job, and i have private insurance anyway. Structure? What structure, it's a higgeldy piggeldy glop of sh.it

it is owned by the government the trust manage their area and do have freedom to manage the hospital/gp services as they wish, they get funding from the governent and have to provide accounts to show how that money is being spent, but they are just managing their the trust dont own it.
