When chatting, I tell my close female friend that I'm glad she had a good night out-also feel happy for her if she met a boy(possibly pulled). Sometimes I encourage her to make a move on a boy she mentions. Basically when I do this, she always explains herself to me i.e. I went straight home, I didn't go out or pull anyone, I don't fancy him etc....

Even though I'm usually joking around, not being serious (her business anyway).

WHY does she do this???

Advice appreciated

Oh yeah-when I mention a girl thats caught my attention, she DOES encourage me sometimes i.e.advice/tips BUT other times she just changes the subject.

WHY??

We have kissed once and thats when she decided we would remain friends, nothing more.

She says that I am attractive, its not my looks, nothing about my personality, she just could not give me a reason why we wouldn't get together.Everytime I suggest we stop meeting up, she tells me to stop being silly and to get that thought out of my head. Is it still wise to see her so often (I do still like her and she knows this,as I've told her)

WHY?? If she only wants to be friends???

Hello, the clue is in 'female'? And you males wonder why we women get cheesed off with you? Sweetheart, to quote Oscar Wilde: "women are meant to be loved, not understood". Accept this and you will live a happy and long life. And let your friend explain away, it makes her happy. She loves it that you listen to her.

She probably fancies you either that or is just saving you for a rainy day in other words til she gets a better offer in other words she likes you hanging because shes not yet made up her mind if she wants to be in a relationship or is just to scared you wont have the same feelings back. Id say be upfront sound her out playing games never works just dont second guess be true and honest always worked even if it only stops the confusion

Are you attracted to her? Are you worried she is attracted to you?

Usually girls like to explain themselves and hate to be link to people they dont like or dont have a crush on.

Being her close friend, she just being honest with you so you wont tease her about anything that is not the truth.

I think she likes you... She's already giving you a hint that she's not interested in the guy she's dating and she's just waiting for you to ask her out on a date.

It might be that she actually likes you more than a friend and isn't interested in anyone else.

follow this rule don't explain anything to your enemy because they won't believe you and you don;t have to explain anything to your friends because they are your friends anyway!
