Push down on each corner of the car. If the car raises back up and stops, the shock is OK. If the car rocks up and down, they're bad. Hope this helps.

Go to each corner of the car and bounce it hard with both hands three or four times up and down. When you let go it should stop in the middle. If it doesn't stop immediatly by itself in half a bounce, you need new shock absobers.
