I've got down glass as a supercooled liquid, does anyone have any other interesting examples? I'm doing a talk about classification and how it's a bit to rigid, there are always intermediates. Thanks

I'm with Kuji.

Plasma is a fourth state of matter, though it is created at superhigh temperatures.

Glass isn't a supercooled liquid, it's simply a highly viscous one. This is an important distinction.

You can produce plasma at home in a simple but funky experiment.

Take a white grape and cut it almost half but leave a little bit so the two halves are still attached. Now open the grape up and place both halves face down (wet-side down) on a plate and put it in the microwave. Turn it on a full power and watch (from a distance), after a short while (probably less than a minute) a flash of blue plasma will erupt from the top of the grape halves. Cool, eh?

Don't forget plasma. You can't bring an example but it's fun to think about. It's also cool to bring up mixed substances. A sponge seems solid but it's mostly air (gas) or water (liquid). It's good to challenge the brain to remember to treat each bit separately.

Yeah there is plasma as well as supercritical fluid which posses the properties of a liquid and a gas.

gosh there are loads.

Quark-Gluon plasma
Bose-Einstein Condensate
Fermionic Condensate
Strange Matter
Liquid crystals
Superfluid
Supersolid

According to Einstein all states of matter are just concentrated compacted energy.

So hows about energy? Its a valid form of matter.

A flame is the visual interpretation of the energy released from a combustible. (Basically just a chemical reaction).

no other states of matter other that liqiud solid gas

solid have molecules or atoms which are well packed together with a definite shape n volume. it cannot be compressed

liquids are also packed together but much more loosely than in solids it takes the shape of the container . it cannot be compressed.

now you can guess obout gases

Plasma is the fourth state of matter, it is an ionised gas

5 states of matter exist

solid
liquid
gas
plasma - as in sun
and bose einstien condensate - by cooling at very less temperature as in tube lights

apparantly everything is either a solid a liquid or a gas. but what is anti-matter or a flame?
