Seriously it's the same that happened between Materazzi and Zidane and yet nobody bothered to investigate it.
Why???
@ Dr. Zizou....Poulsen provoked Totti and he reacted.
Materazzi provoked Zidane and he really reacted.
No difference to me!!

Dr. Zizou never heared of it cuz he was still 6 years old .
anyway i think FIFA is so unfair , I dont know why they hate Italians so much.dont remind of the injustice .
and do u rememeber italy vs Korea ? blatter himself said that Totti didnt deserve a red card and that he wasn't acting, what did he do ??? nothing damn it.

Don't waste your time!!!
Too many immature little ignorant ppl in here. Some they even say they never heard about it (like this baby "Dr. Zizou"). That shows how incompetent about soccer they are!!!
I have already answered you in a previous question: that was an embarrassing moment for FIFA Officials. They did investigate (they had a special commission) but their verdict was biased (remember, Blatter was the president).
At the same moment, no investigation was done over the Sweden-Denmark scandalous score (2-2)
You are right: Zidane-Materazzi was a similar situation and that is the reason of the criticism around the world (but in France) about the sentence given to Materazzi! Blatter & Platini have shown their power...

Oh mY what did poulsen tell totti??
But Juventina i want to tell you something...Euro 2008 is something totally different than the worldcup..and moreover it is the qualifications not the tournament itself...And What materazzi told to zidane is something very big more than whatever poulsen told totti...Materazzi insulted Islam..Poulsen is totti's same religion so ofcourse he didnt insult his religion
and i am sure that if it was the qualifications which materazzi insulted zizou..zidane wouldnever have head-butted materazzi

I think they had to investigate it........ I support Totti (even i don't like Italian team), cos i hate all that racists stuff........ Hope you support Zidane, cos he was in the same situation....... Even Italians don't like french and french don't like Italians, we have to understand that racism is global problem and we have to solve it........... together............. we have to keep our hates inside, this forum is really an example of racism, just look what Q ppl ask....... and what the answers are......... Finally i really do not understand why UEFA didn't investigate it.... hate that type of person like Poulsen and Materazzi..............

If the Zidane- Materazzi affair created a precedent then FIFA should follow it to the letter.

I know I'm old and daft, but my somewhere in my failing memory, I'm sure they did investigate the incident, how else could they give him a 5 match ban, if it wasn't?
