Personal morals must come first, for it is personal morals that shape social ethics. If the core is corrupt, then the whole fruit will be rotten.

My morals because I am a non-conformist (a born one not made IE: I can't conform even when I try really hard to fit in) and often don't even know the "normal" opinion on a subject so can't cave in to it. However just because my own morality has an easy victory in the battle for my conscience it is unlikely to win the war of global agreement!

Interesting question, I enjoyed thinking about it, thanks.

You re not sure which is correct your moral or social ethics. I recommend to take a reference to judge on both and which is right, please follow it. But think well about good reference !, it can be your religion, another society or another religion ....
