Lightning occurs normally in the monsoon season.

In Kerala, there is a lot of lightning and thunder during the second monsoons which is after their Onam festival. There it is known as "Tulavarsham". During Onam, the rains normally stop. When the Monsoons recedes from India, the N.Easterly winds bearing the rain clouds hit the eastern coast of India, the lower bottom side and the tip of India affecting Kerala and parts of Tamilnadu.

In your Electrical - Wire when it is broken and the pieces are Very Close to Each Other. (please do not try such a game in your house, or else -- FIRE). So, Pal, First a Continous Wire and ONLY THEN Electricity with Switch ON. (these days most people are Foolish Enough and Do Not Even USE the Electrical Switch in the Power Line).
