depending on your muscle mass the best guess would be four to six weeks, however a word of caution, if you are carrying a weight problem then it may be advisable to get the doc to ok your exersise plan first, with mine it took sbout four weeks and i was not overweight and had led a fairly active life up to the point of the hernia
normal activity resumed, but i built the exersise up steadily starting with walks at a moderate pace,untli i felt secure that i was ok to go to the slow jog, LF
