Is there any co-relation between sex and weight gain?

I find it has been harder to manage my weight since I got married because my life doesn't revolve around me anymore. I can't just pick up and start exercising in the living room when he is watching TV or I might not go to the gym as much because we have plans. I eat differently because when I was single I would just cook plan stuff but now I am making things he likes too and they are more fattening. He also cooks far more heavy foods then I ate before. I think it is like that for a lot of women. They can't focus just on themself anymore and as others pointed out our metabolism slows and I think we are a little less obsessed with our weight after we get married.

I gained about 50 pounds after i got married that was like less than a year ago the thing is that you get comfortable with your husband eat out late eat junk food etc....., and also you get lazy!! I noticed that I was getting comments from my family like "Oh my gosh you are gaining weight girl, etc......So I started jogging 3-4 times a week I managed to lose about 30 lbs and I am still going to lose about 20-30 more to get back on 145 Its just the whole deal about not having to look attractive for the guy you like or want the attention from , but just because you get married it dones mean that your mission is over, you still gotta look good for your man!!!

No, they gain weight cos their mission is over. Women stop caring to impress after they get married.

a lot depends on the woman, and whether/how she wants to maintain her image. No, to your second ? I had trouble putting on weight even after 15 yrs. of marriage, tho with my child n husband driving me - up the wall

Men do too. It probably has to do with the fact they often eat together, prepare nice meals for each other. And therefore simply - eat more than before when they were on their own.

Well, not everyone does. But people who do -- they are just feeling more comfortable and self-accepting inside their bodies.

Same reason men do. Or anyone else who ages and slows down.
